NEWS 2022

It seems somehow like yesterday, yet its 2 years and more now.. While we can choose to standstill, we decided to move ahead step by step with Singapore.

January
We did our yearly charity work by volunteering in Willing Hearts. In fact, the second time the organization went onboard with this charity centre. Heading in early about 5odds in the morning.. getting ready to put on the shower cap and gloves. All ready to do our little part to make a difference.
The meaningful work by itself drives 100% turn up from the organization. And we thank all of you, that came, that makes this place a better place.

Appreciation Day
This day brings us great happiness and pride to be recognized by our client – Bells Academic Group. 13 award recipients in total and to more ahead.

NEWS 2021

This year, with a brand-new direction, we put our focus into Educational Sector.

As the saying goes: “The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.” – B.B. King

January
With much disruption on face-to-face classes, due to Covid situation affecting children, which then puts much pressure to many children, their families and teachers. We partnered 88 tuition, an online children education platform and a social enterprise, that wants to put learning to many, within reach. A meaningful project, to us, it is.

March
We hopped on board with client: AGB Education Centre via Business-to-Business Channel.
AGB was founded in 2008 with an extensive course catered to an array of people, from different walks of life. An objective to have staffs developed, which in turn add value to the companies too.

August
Yet another Education clientele: Gex Academy, where we started with a 2 weeks test and stepped into a full launch in the month of September
The results speaks by itself where launch happened immediately after the test.

November

A familiar client: Bells Academic Group (Previously known as AGB Education Centre)
This time we ventured into a different targeted audience – away from the business platform and now to community outreach. Yes, the Roadshow Channel. We grew from strength to strength and roadshow to roadshow. Reaching out to many for an asset no one can take away from – knowledge.

Special Highlight Nothing succeeds like success November with our New kid on the block
Manager – Gnanam S/O Somashoordaram Thevar

An industrious individual with decided faith and who never shy away from laying the bricks.

A very well-deserved promotion indeed, where this day brings pride and joy to all that who has walked this journey with him.

Post-Circuit Breaker Plans

Circuit Breaker was an unfortunate necessity for the long-term outlook of Singapore’s overall wellbeing. And thankfully as a country we are slowly moving out into Phase 3’s new horizon.

Currently we are in the midst of doing an educational and Food & Beverages field test.

While as a company we might not have control the circuit breaker plans, we took the post-circuit breaker to double down on our efforts. Ever since the end of circuit breaker, we have worked with many clients and ran multiple tests and launches.

As a group we have done over 20 tests and 7 launches. An amazing wrap for year 2020.

We do not know what future holds, but we remain steadfast and excited to learn and grow.

Project: Hard Rock Cafe, Sentosa

We can still vividly remember counting down to 2020 thinking that this year is gonna be THE year. Obviously covid-19 has other plans for us. All of us. To the lucky ones, the pandemic was really just a big inconvenience. To some, it is life-altering.

Many companies were thrown in a curve ball regardless of their profit margins the year before. While our government were able to soften the impact, companies still found themselves in complete mercy of the pandemic itself. A lot of companies either have to close or downsize, depending on the company’s health, sadly.

As a company, we are grateful for our management’s strategic planning to ensure that we are able to tide over these tough times together. And it is our ethos to help others as well.

We had a great opportunity to partner up with another adaptive and resilient company located in Sentosa.

It offers a world-famous American menu, with selections that mingles with the regional flavour. Decorated with prized rock-and-roll memorabilia, you set to experience a rollin’ good time.

Lead by our site manager, Jovin Chia and team, we started out via an advantage card model! These cards contains one-for-one deals, and great discounts for consumers. Backed by their big reputable name, the team found the crowd rather receptive of the cards. We are still in a pandemic after all, so it wasn’t always rainbows and sunshine. But everybody worked hard with a clear focus. Very true to the fiery spirit of Rock N’ Roll.

All was not in vain, within the short span of 3 months, we managed to sell 8000 of these advantage cards. That is an equivalent of 8000 returning customers!

This has been one of our favourite projects to work with. What can we say? Rock N’ Roll never dies.

Group Birthday — Charity Event

Following closely behind the heels of Christmas is our Group Birthday. This year we unanimously decided to do something more, especially at a given time like this. Our team from young and young-at-heart have donated an amount of over S$3000. The group did a dollar-for-dollar donation that puts the total amount to double – all for table fans to be given out for those in need.

Setting up the portable fans.

Adhering to our social distancing measures, the events was meticulously planned and executed. Teams of 5 were given ten sets of fans to give out to their allocated units.

Team work!

This experienced has yoked us in spirits.

What a privilege it is to give. Nothing warms a heart more than a genuine smile and hearty conversation. We are thankful to be in this position, and will strive to increase our giving capacities in the coming years.

Once again, happy Redwoods and group! We are excited for what’s to come.

Merry Christmas 2020

Christmas has been one of our favourite holidays! Annually, we celebrate this joyous occasion with a hearty gathering together with great food, amazing people and many, many rounds of beer and spirits.

Not letting the necessary social restrictions dampen our holiday spirits. We’ve come up with ways to spread the cheers, not the virus.

Also what is Christmas without presents! We can’t have more than 5 people in a group, but we surely can have more than 10 gifts neatly wrapped on our tables! We managed to stealthily leave gifts for our beloved colleagues. This year, what we can’t give in presences, we surely made it up in presents.

Merry Christmas everybody. Here’s to a better 2021! And to corona, we only have one thing left to say to you.

All we want for Christmas is you... to be gone!

Launch of Hotel Industry Project

As the title suggest, we had the good-fortune to work with one of the most reputable hotel this year. This five-star luxury hotel is laced with culture, art and commerce. Housing over 400 rooms and suites, each with views to boast.

Here at Redwoods Advance, we refuse to let the pandemic dull its’ shine. To match with the hotel’s class and grace, we have our business development consultant, Julie Renyard, leading a team of 8, spearhead the campaign.

Julie, at The Fullerton Bay Hotel

With a strategic formulated advantage card developed for the hotel, the team was set to go! As all pioneering phases of any project goes, the team met with challenges that required them to grow and adapt.

It was not for naught, at the end of the campaign, the team grew exponentially and was bringing home a daily 9-piece average.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team for the tremendous effort and hard work for tapping into unchartered waters with us. Also a big shout out to the beautiful hotel, wishing them prosperous years ahead!

HR’s Day Out – Terrarium Workshop

Managing people can get strenuous, wouldn’t you agree? We know it is, every now and then our HR team recharges themselves and indulge in activities that brings them into the Zen mode and brings them a peaceful time all by themselves.

We wanted to have an experience near to nature but kinda too lazy to go outdoors(haha), hence we decided to attend a Terrarium Workshop to understand the basics of Botany and have a calming experience together.

Ecoponics hosted us with a warm welcome and gave us a quick terrarium building 101 to help us understand the basics. Excited, everyone came up with their own designs and settings to build their small terrarium jars.

There is something extremely calming and peaceful about planting a tiny plant or giving a plant its life, maybe because it resonates with the basic instinct of nurturing life as humans and creating something beautiful.

It was an evening full of fun and a great learning experience for all of us. We learned the basics and our trainer took us back to our primary school biology class. Spending two hours at the workshop gave us a good opportunity to connect and understand each other as team. We ended our workshop with a group photo of everyone holding their terrarium jar with happy faces and blissful hearts.

Testing the Shenzhen and Beijing arena: CFPA Test 2019

Over the years Redwoods Advance has been developing charities and helping them with their brand awareness across ASEAN region. Recognized as one of the best partners by NCSS in Singapore for Charity development we are extending our boundaries once again to China and develop our strong roots there.

9th August 2019 marks the day when our team stepped in Beijing for their first ever brand awareness campaign with China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA).

The 2 week campaign was full of international exposure and a lot of opportunity to learn and understand the dynamics of a new country and its market. With the support of our partners and event organizers we were able to successfully execute the campaign to grow CFPA in their awareness and business development. The whole trip ended with lots of fun and food at the famous Hai Di Lao and a birthday celebration.

Ending the fun filled and educational and interesting journey with high hopes to work further with the partners in Beijing and Shenzhen. Looking further and forward to our next partner campaign.
